Our American-style Food and Alehouse is the ideal place to watch live coverage of all your favourite sporting events on one of our 30 television sets or 3 large screens. So whether you wish to sample our delicious food or simply have a drink amongst friends or colleagues, the Food and Ale Restaurant is where you'll be assured of a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere.
The Escape Zone is a fully equipped fitness and leisure complex which includes a gymnasium, luxury pool, steam room, sauna, solarium, spa, sunbed and sun shower. All members and guests can enjoy unlimited use of all facilities all day, every day and our location means that if you're in need of a little refreshment after your swim or work out you won't have far to go.
The traditional Balloon and Basket pub opens its doors all day, every day. From 12 noon until 8pm, you can feast on a wide variety of mouth watering snacks and main meals ranging from home-made steak and kidney pie through to our fresh-from-the-oven lasagne. Alternatively you can simply sit back and enjoy a drink from our excellent selection of fine wines and beers.
Set in the front grounds of Sporting Lodge Inns, The Balloon and Basket has a large patio, which is ideal for socialising with friends, family or colleagues during those warm summer months. Entertainment-wise, the Balloon and Basket provides something for everyone: there are weekly quiz nights, live music and family fun days, as well as a host of special events throughout the year.
Conference and wedding facilities are also available at the hotel.
