Hedley House Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area within an easy eight minute walk from the centre of York.

Located in a quiet residential area just outside the city walls, Hedley House was tastefully converted in 1984 from two Victorian town houses. It has its own private car park and lock-up garages - important in York where parking is at a premium.

Please note we charge 5% for using Visa / Master cards.
Cash, cheques, Debit, switch and maestro are free.
All rooms are now non-smoking.


In 2005 we received a SILVER AWARD from the English Tourist Board.

All rooms are non-smoking and en-suite and most have a bath and shower, hospitality tray and colour television. Rooms do vary in size due to the nature of the building. Early breakfast can be served on prior arrangement. We also have several self-catering apartments available for your stay in York.

We have a lounge bar for the exclusive use of our guests and we serve home-cooked evening meals and snacks. We also now have a BBQ area and a 6 person outdoor aqua spa on a garden deck for your enjoyment!

New conference facilities have been added and we can cater for up to 18 delegates.

  • In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 3 days notice prior to the date of arrival, an amount equivalent to 50% of the total booking value will be charged.
