Great Western Hotel is an elegant Victorian villa, privately owned and run by proprietors Mel and Cathy Sherwood for the last 20 years. You are rest assured of a warm welcome. Spacious dining room overlooking the garden and sea. Well appointed en suite rooms. Celebrities who have stayed at our hotel include Ms Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP, Mrs Sunny Lowrey, 1st Woman Channel Swimmer, cast of Danny La Rue and musical director Dave Carter, Frank Woodruff, past manager of Ken Dodd, May Kennedy, grandma of Curly Watts in Coronation Street, Angela Watts, West End/London soprano, Oliver Horsborough, writer of TV soap programmes including Emmerdale, various BBC crew members, West Country TV Presenters, Allen Levy, founder of London Toy Museum now of ACE Trains Ltd.
