Cumberland Hotel is housed in two of the most architecturally attractive Listed Victorian Buildings in the West End of Edinburgh. The Hotel has been recently renovated to retain its original Victorian features, with superb cornices and large rooms.

The hotel has a large car park with Surveillance camera. An attractive beer garden to the rear of the hotel allows you to enjoy a drink in a relaxed and peaceful environment.
In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 31 days notice prior to the date of arrival, an amount equivalent to 100% of the total booking value will be charged.

MINIMUM STAY POLICY OF 3 NIGHTS APPLICABLE FOR SPECIAL EVENTS, GOLF, HIGHLAND SHOW, CONCERTS, AUGUST WEEKENDS, NEW YEAR (29 Dec-2 Jan), RUGBY INTERNATIONALS (variable dates), EDINBURGH FESTIVAL (1-31 Aug) and BANK HOLIDAYS - Although your booking may have gone through online - the hotel will be in touch with you for the minimum of 3 nights stay for the special events etc. Premium Rates are applicable. Special Events such as the Highland Show and other events in June also attract a minimum of 3 nights stay.
Your credit card is used to take a 50% non-refundable deposit from your credit immediately after a booking is made. If the card is not authorised, we reserve the right to cancel this booking immediately and will have no obligation to offer you a room upon your arrival. Please make sure that your card is valid and has sufficient funds to cover the costs of the deposit.
Credit card payment attracts a 2% surcharge. The balance will be charged to your card during the week prior to your arrival. Guests who are staying for one night only, full payment will be taken as deposit.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Internet Room Rates are Special Rates that are considerably lower than our Standard Rack Rates, so cancellation charges are applied as follows:
ANY BOOKINGS CANCELLED AFTER BEING CONFIRMED ON-LINE WILL BE SUBJECTED TO A CANCELLATION CHARGE OF THE EQUIVALENT OF 50% OF THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE BOOKING. CANCELLATIONS OF BOOKING WITHIN 31 DAYS OF EXPECTED STAY WILL BE SUBJECTED TO A CHARGE OF 100% OF THE VALUE OF THE BOOKING. FULL CHARGES WILL BE APPLIED FOR NO SHOWS - UP TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE BOOKING.
