The Hotel has undergone a transformation over the past few months and has a complete new look for 2006. In March 2006 the Hotel was one of the first in Torbay to be given the prestigious silver award under the new harmonised common standard of quality assessement.
The new quality assessment awards for all accommodation providers in any assessement scheme, will now come under stars for hotels and a seperate set of stars for 'guest accommodation'(The old Diamond system) This hotel has been awarded stars under the heading 'hotel accommodation'. An additional silver award has been given for exeptional standards of quality in all areas of accommodation, hospitality, facilities and service. The standards of the silver award from Jan 06 have been enhanced, so they are much harder to achieve. Thats why we are so proud to have been awarded one.
All of the beds in the Hotel are extra length 6ft 6' and a minimum standard of king size. Nearby is the Torquay Riviera Conference and sports centre, with indoor swimming pools wave machine and water chutes, Torre Abbey with its beautiful gardens, including pitch and putt, tennis and bowls. Beautiful Cockington thatched village, only a mile from the Hotel with its lakes and gardens. The Hotel no longer has any family rooms available and is considered by its owners, to be unsuitable for young children.
Torquay has something for everyone, a walk along the promenade, past the beach, marina and harbour, theatres, cinemas and quality nightclubs. Access to many of the S.West's major attractions.
Breakfast in the restaurant includes fruit juice, cereal, full traditional breakfast, toast, tea or coffee. Evening meals offer a choice from the menu of a 4-course meal. If you require an evening meal on day of arrival, please enter on special requirements section, as supplies are ordered fresh daily.(See terms and conditions) The hotel is 100% non-smoking. In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 7 days notice prior to the date of arrival, an amount equivalent to 100% of the total booking value will be charged.

General Information including Terms and Conditions: Bookings must be confirmed by a credit or debit card with all relevant information. Money will not be debited, just held on the card. For cheque or cash payments, please send 24.00 per person or 25% of the total value of the booking which ever is the greater. Deposits are normally non-refundable.
Cancellations: Contact us immediately if you have to cancel. Your cancellation is effective from the date we receive notification in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows and shown as a percentage of the total price of the booking:
Notice given: more than 60 days - Loss of deposit 60 - 30 days - 30% 30 - 15 days - 50% 14 - 1 day - 80%
On day or no show, departure early, or arrival late: 100% of quoted rate charged for the period cancelled. Should we be able to re-let the whole or part of the period booked, we shall credit the cancellation fee for the days re-let.
Insurance: We recommend you take up holiday insurance. Contact us for details.
Payment: Accounts are payable in full the night before departure. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Solo, American Express and Switch. If whole payment is to be by cheque it must be with a cheque guarantee card or be sent in advance in time to clear before arrival. (minimum of 4 working days)
Arrival: Accommodation is normally available by 3.00pm. Early arrivals may use facilities and leave luggage with reception. Departure: Rooms are to be vacated by 10.00am. Luggage may be left with reception.
Breakfast: From 8.30 to 9.30 am (Earlier if requested the night before).
Bar: Available throughout the day and evening for residents.
We have the right to refuse to accommodate any person who, in our reasonable opinion, is not suitable. In such cases all charges will be refunded in full. We also have the right to discontinue to accommodate any person who, in our opinion, behaves unreasonably, damages property, is a danger to or significant annoyance to others. In this event no refund will be due. We do not take single sex parties regardless of how many in the group. Any groups booking on the internet will be turned away at the door with no refund due. (No exceptions).
