The Buckingham Lodge is probably one of the best located small family run hotels in Torquay. It s conveniently located in a quiet tree lined road, close (walking distance) to the beach at Torre Abbey Sands, Railway Station, Torre Abbey (with its Agatha Christie Room), Conference and Leisure Centre and shops. Also within walking distance are the Princess Theatre, Harbour and main shopping centre of Torquay. This small hotel is run on Guest House principles by the resident owners. The quality, value for money BandB provided is often at prices below that charged by similar and lower graded accommodation -so why go elsewhere? For the comfort and safety of all guests the Buckingham Lodge operates a strict NO SMOKING policy throughout the building. All rooms are ensuite and many have BOTH BATH and SHOWER which is a feature not usually obtainable in this grade of accommodation. Prices are on a BandB basis. A licensed bar lounge is available for residents only. There are no facilities for children under age 5 or for babies. IMPORTANT NOTE - Off Site activities are not owned or managed by the Hotel. The Buckingham Lodge has no control over the terms and conditions of use or the opening times and availability of the facilities. A local charge is payable to the operator for the use of most of the off site facilities. Ideally placed for all Torquay attractions and the whole of the Torbay area, the Buckingham Lodge's location is convenient for visitors to travel to other parts of South Devon. The beauty of Dartmoor is only a short drive away.
In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 7 days notice prior to the date of arrival, an amount equivalent to 100% of the total booking value will be charged.

1)Pricing is based on a minimum stay of 2 nights - stays of 1 night are not accepted. 2)Please note that as there is no night porter facility the latest evening check in time is 10.00p.m. (22.00Hrs). 3)Check Out time is 10.00Hrs. on the day of departure; 4)NO HEN OR STAG PARTIES EXCEPTED and Single sex groups also not accepted. 5)Babies and Children under the age of 5 are not accepted; child prices only apply to children up to age 12 sharing a room with 2 full paying guests; reductions may be available for young adults depending on season (telephone for details); 6)The lead party making the booking will be liable for the cost of any damage repair or additional cleaning required due to a client's actions which may be charged to the debit or credit card provided as surety for the reservation at the time of booking; 7)Buckingham Lodge is a 100% no smoking hotel; SMOKING is NOT ALLOWED in any part of the building. Regrettably guests will be requested to leave if they smoke within the building. In these circumstances no refund of monies paid will be made. In addition a surcharge of GBP50.00 will become payable towards the cost of additional cleaning required to bring the room back to the standard expected by subsequent guests. This will be charged to the debit / credit provided as surety for the reservation at the time of booking. 8) For payment made by credit card a surcharge of 2% ( American Express 4.5% ) will be added to client's bills (there is no surcharge for payment made by debit card); 9) A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total holiday cost or the cost of the first night's stay (whichever is greater) is required at the time of making the booking. This will be charged to the debit or credit card provided as surety for the reservation at the time of booking. Where the booking is in respect of 2 or more rooms under the same booking reference the deposit will be allocated between the rooms in proportion to the cost of each room and, in the event of cancellation or amendment of the booking or part of the booking is not transferable between rooms. 10) For bookings cancelled within 7 days of arrival, in addition to loss of deposit, a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of 1 nights stay (average cost) will be charged to the debit or credit card provided as surety for the reservation at the time of making the booking; 11) For bookings cancelled on day of arrival, late arrival, no show or early departure, in addition to loss of deposit, a cancellation fee equivalent to the balance payable for the accommodation booked will be charged to the debit or credit card provided as surety for the reservation at the time of making the booking; 12) Every effort will be made to re-let accommodation cancelled. If re-letting is achieved the cancellation charge will be reduced by the amount received from the re-let; 13)Please note that any balance due is payable on arrival (not on checkout).
